I had a clear error signal (~0.01 Vpp) with a zero crossing. However, the modulation parameter optimization took a long time and did not converge. Eventually the modulation depth bounced between two similar values. I have limited the range of the search so that it searched in a meaningful space. In the end, I was able to lock the laser with the modulation parameters I entered initially.

What does the auto PID process suppose to look like? I entered the PID and hit lock. Will the optimized PID values show up? I measured the PSD and the PID show there are the PID I entered initially. I suppose the auto PID wasn't working.

The lock status shows "Locked!" while the laser is clearly drifting and the control signal shown on the GUI railed.

I used the GUI to control the lock.
