🧑‍🔬 About Me

Hi! I am Yangyuanchen Liu (刘杨元琛), a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, working with Professor Somnath Ghosh. My research is at the intersection of computational mechanics, with a focus on:

  • 🧩 Phase-field for fracture
  • 🔬 Multiscale modeling
  • 🧮 Model-based simulations

Education:

  • Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics, Duke University (2024, Prof. John Dolbow)
  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
