The ubuntu version used by github actions does not contain a current gobject-introspection package. To be able to use current gobject-introspection features the Linux runner uses a docker image of the latest fedora release. For generation of the packages a system with a current version of gobject-introspection is not needed as the gir files are retrieved from gir-files repository. The current version of gobject-introspection is used to build the GirTest library and the resulting gir file.
