This is a popular request! Currently, GitHub does not offer a “star” or “bookmark” feature for individual issues, like the one repos have. Many users would love to have the ability to quickly “favorite” or save issues for easy access later.

Current alternatives:

You can subscribe to an issue by clicking the “Subscribe” button in the sidebar, which will notify you of updates but this isn’t the same as bookmarking for later reference.
Some users keep a personal list of important issues (using browser bookmarks or a GitHub project/issue) as a workaround.
Feature request status:

GitHub has received similar feedback before, and you can add your voice by opening or commenting on a GitHub Community Discussion or submitting feedback through the official GitHub Feedback form.

This feature doesn’t exist yet, but it’s a great idea and worth submitting feedback for! If it gets enough support, GitHub may consider adding it in the future.
