Task list

  • A single README page intended to replace the content on scitools.org.uk
  • Accessibility statement in line with Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations
  • Format README in line with the above accessibility concerns
  • Privacy Statement
    • Can be simpler than the one on scitools.org.uk, mostly referencing the 'original sources':
    • Still needs an introduction
    • Be sure to clarify the legal basis(es)
    • Can also clarify what "your personal data" usually constitutes on GitHub (i.e. username, plus email+name against commits)
  • Update link(s) to Cartopy docs - on Readthedocs now
  • Share the finished work with our legal experts to get final say (rather than creating confusion by asking questions on the way through).

Sorry - forgot! Question for the reviewer: does this README capture the content of https://scitools.org.uk/? Albeit in a more abridged way relying on modern familiarity with GitHub and Open Source.

This looks good. Haven't spotted any spelling mistaskes or grammar. Thanks @trexfeathers

Accessibility Statement needs improvement to meet required standards. Meeting planned with UX expert to see what we can do better; should yield some significant improvements, especially around testing.
