Nucleic acid staining solution (NASS) (pH 4.8)

Reagent Amount to add Final concentration
Phosphate-citrate buffer tablets (Sigma-Aldrich) Two tablets 0.1 M
Disodium EDTA (Sigma-Aldrich) 0.18 g 5 mM
NaCl (Sigma-Aldrich) 0.9 g 0.15 M
Bovine serum albumin, fraction V (Sigma-Aldrich) 0.5 g 0.5% (w/v)
Saponin (Sigma-Aldrich) 0.02 g 0.02% (w/v)
To prepare 100 mL of NASS (pH 4.8), dissolve two tablets of phosphate-citrate buffer in 100 mL of H2O, and then add the remaining reagents. Store at 4°C.
