My heart is heavy with sadness. For over a week, I’ve been trying to raise the cost of just one water tank (1000 liters) for five families living in a remote area devastated by the occupation a place lacking even the most basic necessities of life.

Water is scarce. These families suffer from thirst every single day and just one tank could change their harsh reality.

Sadly, until now, I haven’t even been able to raise a small portion of the needed amount, even though it’s modest compared to the level of need.

I write this with a heart full of pain not because I’ve given up trying, but because I watch the suffering grow day by day, without response.

The Water Crisis in Northern Gaza, Life Without Life

We returned to Northern Gaza hoping to start over, but what we found was harsher than displacement itself.

We came back to barren land no water, no infrastructure, no means to survive.

The occupation left nothing behind Our only water tank was burned, and the sewage pipes were destroyed.

Today, we live in literal thirst, searching for a drop of water amidst the rubble.

The situation is extremely dangerous, especially with children, women, and the elderly who cannot endure this harsh thirst.

There is no nearby water source, and we cannot afford to fetch water daily.

We urgently need support to secure a new 1000-liter water tank, which can be filled by mobile water trucks.

We cannot survive without water, and we don’t want to be forced into displacement again.

💧 I returned to northern Gaza yesterday and came back to indescribable devastation.

Thanks to God and your support, we made it. But what we found was heartbreaking.

The tank we used to rely on was destroyed in an airstrike, and the area is almost lifeless no water, no resources, nothing.

Under fire again and my children are trembling in the street

Although the ceasefire is technically still in place, the occupation violated it in cold blood.

91 martyrs in one night, and dozens of families buried under the rubble.

No one is safe not the child in their mother’s arms, nor the displaced who still have no shelter.

I am one of those displaced who couldn’t return to northern Gaza.

We are still in the street, without shelter, without cover and now the danger is closer than ever.

Please, We are so close to collecting the amount needed to return. Don’t leave us exposed to the cold, the street, and the bombing.

I write to you from the depths of helplessness from the streets, from beneath a worn-out blanket that barely shelters me and my children through yet another cold, uncertain night.

I thought my last plea would be enough that someone would feel the pain in my words and help us return north, where our tent once stood before it was destroyed. At least it was a “place,” where we held on to a shred of dignity.

But until now, I haven’t been able to gather the cost of transportation.

We are still here living on a sidewalk, counting the clouds, swallowing our tears in silence.

Only 91€ has been raised out of the 500€ needed just for transport.

The full goal to cover return costs and essentials is 22,600€.

To anyone reading this Please don’t pass over my pain the way strangers pass us on the street.

If you can’t donate your voice might still be our salvation.

We are a displaced family, living in the open in Deir al-Balah. No tent, no roof only the biting cold of the night that is tearing through our children's bodies.

All we want is to return to the north, to the tent we were forced to abandon under heavy bombing… It’s still there, waiting for us.

All we need is transportation costs just a ride to take us from the street back to the place we once called home.

We are currently in Deir al-Balah Central Gaza, living on the street without a tent or any form of shelter, trying to survive with dignity. Now, with the ceasefire and permission to return to North Gaza, we are allowed to go back but I simply don’t have the *€500* needed to cover transport costs for my family.

Regardless of whatever happens next (and I truly hope good things happen next), a ceasefire (which we aren't even sure will be permanent...) does not guarantee aid being let in or people being allowed to return to their destroyed homes. Don't give up now, don't turn away.

My friend @siraj0 is still homeless in the south and, from what I understand, he probably won't be able to return to his destroyed house in the north this time. Not to mention, his children are sick right now and they need money to afford the sparsely available medicine.

So I am asking you, if you have money to give, please celebrate this moment by giving some to him so he and his family can get a tent to live in. Winter will be here soon and they need any cover they can get.
