but in the simple peace of knowing your children are safe, warm, and fed.

We rejoice when goodness spreads across the world,

and we dream that mercy will one day reach every place that suffers.

Today, I live in a small tent with my sick wife and our three daughters — Lina, and the twins Alma and Lama.

Each day we try to hold on to our strength and faith despite exhaustion and fear.
