As the year comes to a close, we’re thrilled to look back on an incredible journey. In 2024, Wikimedia Armenia achieved remarkable milestones with over 25 projects and events, fostering new collaborations, welcoming new members, and partnering with amazing organizations. Here's a small part of what we accomplished together: ✅ We proudly opened two new Wikiclubs in Kajaran (Syunik region) and Ijevan (Tavush region), expanding our community. 🌟 In collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Armenia, we launched the inspiring "Wikipedia for Women" project. 🏕️ We organized two camps for young Wikimedians and one for teenagers, nurturing the next generation of Wikipedians. 📚 Partnering with four universities, we strengthened ties between academia and free knowledge. 🌍 We shared our experiences and projects at prominent international Wikimedia conferences, including Wikimania 2024 and the CEE Meeting 2024. 💰 Partnering with the Central Bank of Armenia within the frames of the "Financial-Economic Wikimonth 2024," we achieved outstanding results in promoting financial and economic knowledge. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported, collaborated, and contributed to the growth of Armenian Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects. A heartfelt thank you to our vibrant community, whose dedication drives our mission to expand free knowledge 🙏. ✨ Here's to 2025 bringing even more opportunities, partnerships, and successes for Wikimedia Armenia and the Armenian Wikimedia community!

Community 🤝 is the driving force for the Wikimedia movement, shaping its direction through innovative ideas 💡 and collective efforts. In the Armenian Wikimedia community, there is a cherished tradition of coming together in one place to discuss ongoing projects 📜, share experiences, and brainstorm future initiatives 🎯. These community meetups foster a sense of unity and collaboration, providing a platform for community members to bring fresh ideas ✨ and strategies to raise awareness about Wikimedia projects and increase their impact. Community meetups also serve as a vital channel for Wikimedia Armenia to gain a deeper understanding of the community's needs, identify areas for improvement 🔍, and explore ways to enhance support for its members 💪. It provides an opportunity to reflect on what has been done well ✅, what can be refined 🛠️, and how the organization can better empower the community to achieve its goals. From December 5 to 8, thirty community members came together in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia, to carry forward this tradition. These discussions not only strengthened the bonds 🔗 within the community but also set the stage for actionable plans to drive Wikimedia Armenia’s mission forward. #wikicommunity #wikimediamovement #wikipedia
