Black Woman Owned is a media company curating business news and original content, while providing digital visibility and engagement solutions for small businesses. Our mission is to help give Black woman owned businesses visibility to help increase their annual revenue. Black woman owned businesses Earned average revenue of $24,000 per firm vs. $142,900 among all women-owned businesses.The gap between African American/Black women-owned businesses’ average revenue and all women-owned businesses is the greatest of any minority. (American Express 2019 State of the Woman Owned businesses) BWO has the opportunity to place Black women business owners in front of other Black women consumers looking through social and digital media for products and services they can trust, while also helping to increase the annual revenue of Black woman business owners we amplify.

    No More Margins is seeking submissions from Black women creative writers for its inaugural literary journal. Issue 1: Liberation is dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black women and celebrating the freedom to express ourselves boldly through literature. Liberation for Black women includes: *Standing in our human right to exist *Embracing unlimited potential without seeking external validation *Creating spaces filled with love, joy, and encouragement instead of seeking seats at toxic tables. What types of submissions are we looking for? *We believe free writing embodies the power of creativity, especially when nurtured within a caring and supportive community. If you've participated in free writing activities as part of a workshop or writing group, we want to publish them. *If you have written an essay or short story about who you are as a Black woman creative, we want to publish it. *If you are a visual artist who captures the beauty of Black women existing, we want to publish your art. Submission Guidelines: *You may submit up to three free writes for consideration. *You may submit one essay or short story (1500 words or less). *Artwork submissions are welcome!
