28 April 2025 – 2026 entry courses will be available to search in UCAS’ search tool.

12 May 2025 UCAS applications open - You can start preparing your 2026 entry undergraduate application in your UCAS Hub account – though you won’t be able to submit it to UCAS until 1 September 2025.

GAMSAT – Booking opens for the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT). Applicants to our 4-year Graduate Entry Medicine course must sit either the GAMSAT or UCAT.

UCAT – Account creation opens for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) – which is a required test for applications to our 6-year MBBS Medicine course (A100).

UCAT – Booking opens for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) – used in the admission process for MBBS Medicine (A100) and as an alternative test for Graduate Entry Medicine for applicants who don’t sit the GAMSAT.

UCAT – Admissions testing starts for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT).

GAMSAT – Deadline to register for the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) – for Graduate Entry Medicine applicants who don’t sit the UCAT.

ESAT and TMUA – Registration opens for test sitting 1 of the Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT) and the Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA).  

1 September 2025 – Completed undergraduate applications can be submitted to UCAS.

UCAT – Deadline to apply for access arrangements for for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) – used in the admission process for MBBS Medicine (A100) and as an alternative test for Graduate Entry Medicine for applicants who don’t sit the GAMSAT. 

15 October 2025 – Applications deadline for MBBS Medicine or MBBS Medicine (Graduate Entry) for entry in 2026.

9 and 10 October 2025 ESAT sitting 1 - Check our course pages to see whether you need to take the ESAT as part of the application process for your department of interest.

Candidates can book a time slot on any of these test days though please note that tests in China will be available on only one day per test sitting. They will take place on the second day listed above for each test. For more details, please visit the UAT-UK website. 

13 and 14 October 2025 TMUA sitting 1 - Check our course pages to see whether you need to take the TMUA as part of the application process for your department of interest.

Candidates can book a time slot on any of these test days though please note that tests in China will be available on only one day per test sitting. They will take place on the second day listed above for each test. For more details, please visit the UAT-UK website.

Interviews – Imperial departments that use an interview as part of their selection process begin inviting shortlisted applicants for an interview.  Interviews take place between November and February 2026 – invites will go out on a rolling basis during this time.

14 January 2026 – Equal consideration deadline for applications for our undergraduate courses, except MBBS Medicine (A100) and Graduate Entry Medicine (A102).

Application decisions – We aim to make all application decisions by late March 2026. You’ll be able to track the status of your application in your UCAS Hub. 

August 2026  – A-level results day.

30 April 2024 - Search for courses on the UCAS website. 2025 entry courses will be live on UCAS from this date. 

May 2024 - Bookings open for the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) opens. It’s essential you sit this test if you want to be considered for entry to MBBS Medicine (Graduate Entry) at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine in 2025.  

You must register before Thursday 4 July 2024 (1pm BST) on the GAMSAT website.

14 May 2024 - You can start your UCAS application from this date, but you can’t submit it until September.

3 June 2024 - Applications open for bursary vouchers and access arrangements for test sitting 1 of the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests. 

You’ll need to take the ESAT if you want to study courses in the Department of Physics and the Departments of Aeronautics, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. 

You’ll need to take the TMUA if you want to study courses in the Department of Computing, including joint Mathematics and Computer Science, the Department of Mathematics or the BSc Economics, Finance and Data Science offered in Imperial College Business School.

18 June 2024 - Booking for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) opens – it’s essential you sit this test if you want to be considered for entry to MBBS Medicine at Imperial in 2025.

8 July 2024 - UCAT admissions testing starts.

Thursday 4 July 2024 (13.00 BST) - Deadline to register for the GAMSAT, if you want to study MBBS Medicine (Graduate Entry) at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine in 2025.

1 August 2024 - Registration for test sitting 1 of the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests opens.

29 August 2024 - Deadline to apply for access arrangements for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests in test sitting 1. 

3 September 2024 onwards - Submit your UCAS application for Imperial from this date. 

Make sure you submit your application by the relevant deadline (see below). 

You can start to complete your UCAS application from 14 May. 

15 September 2024 (23.59 BST) - Deadline to apply for access arrangements for the UCAT admissions test, if you want to study MBBS Medicine at Imperial in 2025.

16 September 2024 - Deadline to register for test sitting 1 for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests. 

This is also the deadline for UK candidates in financial need to apply for a bursary voucher for these tests.

19 September 2024 - Deadline to register for the UCAT admissions test if you want to study MBBS Medicine at Imperial in 2025.

26 September 2024 - Take the UCAT admissions test by this date if you want to study MBBS Medicine at Imperial in 2025.

15 October 2024 at 18.00 (BST) - Deadline to submit your UCAS application (6pm UK time) in you want to study MBBS Medicine or MBBS Medicine (Graduate Entry) at Imperial in 2025. 

15 and 16 October 2024 - Take the ESAT admissions test on 15 or 16 October if you want to study courses in the Department of Physics and the Departments of Aeronautics, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. 

There is also a second test sitting in January 2025 but we strongly encourage you to register for test sitting 1, where possible.

16 and 17 October 2024 - Take the TMUA admissions test on 16 or 17 October if you want to study in the Department of Computing, including joint Mathematics and Computer Science, the Department of Mathematics or the BSc Economics, Finance and Data Science offered in Imperial College Business School.

There is also a second test sitting in January 2025.

Thursday 24 October 2024 - Registration for test sitting 2 of the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests opens.

21 November 2024 - Deadline to apply for access arrangements for January 2025 test sitting of ESAT and TMUA.

November 2024 – February 2025 - Departments that use an interview as part of their selection process will begin inviting shortlisted applicants for an interview.

Monday 23 December 2024 - Deadline to register for test sitting 2 for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests. 

7 and 8 January 2025 - Take the ESAT admissions test on 7 or 8 January if you want to study courses in the Department of Physics and the Departments of Aeronautics, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. 

8 and 9 January 2025 - Take the TMUA admissions test on 8 or 9 January if you want to study in the Department of Computing, including joint Mathematics and Computer Science, the Department of Mathematics or the BSc Economics, Finance and Data Science offered in Imperial College Business School.

29 January 2025 at 18.00 (UK time) - Applications for our undergraduate courses (except MBBS Medicine and MBBS Medicine (Graduate Entry) should arrive at UCAS by this date to receive equal consideration.
