Peter Robinson officially resigns as First Minister

Peter Robinson has officially resigned as First Minister of Northern Ireland.

Speaking in the Assembly on Monday, he thanked party colleagues and said he was certain Arlene Foster was 'a worthy successor'.

Mr Robinson announced his intention to step down after six years as DUP leader and First Minister in November.
