Hole O'Cross (in), 465 yards, par four
The 13th was extended by 35 yards for 2005, and is one of the hardest holes on the course. Down the left side are the three cavernous bunkers of the Coffins at about 250-290 yards. You can play to the right of them but the more popular route is left up the adjacent sixth fairway which gives a better view of the green. The right-hand route leaves you slightly unsighted to a green guarded on the right by another couple of deep traps. It's another huge double green, shared with the fifth, and there are all sorts of places they can put the flag. It's one of the tougher par fours and you can often find yourself with a 40-yard putt and an easy three-putt. Hole O'Cross (In): Shares its name with the neighbouring fifth hole. Walkinshaw bunker: Deep little pot bunker where the fairway narrows about 96 yards out named after a local golfer who was forever going into it.
