    “I was a colleague of Amaris Hernandez Padgett for five years at Philadelphia Energy Solutions. The cooperation and confidence she inspires in others led her to the presidency of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Conference of Puerto Rican Women, membership in the Philadelphia Energy Solutions Women's Leadership Network and a natural choice for leading software development projects. Ms. Hernandez Padgett brought a number of projects to completion, on time and on budget. The projects that I have knowledge, or was directly involved with are a Data Center migration for a cloud sourced accounting system, a vacation scheduling and tracking system with union contract compliance constraints and two separate application upgrade projects for the company's contractor tracking system. She avoids burdening management with administrative details by effectively using exception reporting to keep management informed. Her expertise, natural charm and charisma garnered the confidence of the end users and management. She delegates while maintaining control, matching assignments with the skill set and abilities of her team. Ms. Hernandez Padgett donated her services to some of my projects as a Quality Assurance Engineer. She identified problems with the software that I had missed and offered suggestions on improvement that where imaginative and improved the quality and utility of the final product. During this time she started and finished her Masters of Business Administration(MBA) program. I completed my MBA, working full time and with a family and I am aware of the effort and dedication it takes to attend classes and not allow work to suffer.
