As a LinkedIn Page admin, you can gain a better understanding of your Page's visibility and determine the right way to increase its discoverability using the Search Appearances analytics information.

Search Appearances refers to the number of instances where your Page name appears in search results. This information is displayed in the Search Appearances tab which is available from the Analytics menu.

The Search Appearances tab provides you with the following information:

  • Total number of search appearances - Number of times your Page appeared in search results in a given period of time. This number is refreshed daily.

  • Number of searches in which your Page appeared in the last seven days. This number does not include Page visitors.

  • Top keywords that were used to find your Page

    Here's a tip

You can start a post using these same keywords to improve the visibility of your Page.

  • Demographic details about the people who searched for your Page such as companies that they are from, their industry, and job titles

How is Search Appearances analytics different from Page Visitor analytics?

Visitor analytics for a Page gives you information on who is visiting your Page. You can view details on visitor traffic such as the total number of visitors to your Page, number of unique visitors, and demographic details of the visitors for a specific period of time.

Search Appearances analytics on the other hand provides you information on the number of times your Page has appeared in member search results, and the keywords that were used in search to find your Page. Using this information, you can take actions to improve the discoverability of your Page. For example, you can create posts on your Page with keywords that have been used by members to find your Page.
