🤝 Together with our partners from Cisco, International Rescue Committee, and Simprints, our session at the NetHope Global Summit tackled pressing questions about AI ethics for the humanitarian sector. Our sincere thanks to Jake McIntosh of Cisco for leading the discussion and to our fellow panelists Alyssa Campbell (International Rescue Committee) and Steve Taylor (Simprints) for sharing their critical insights. Tino Kreutzer, Kobo’s Chief Operating & Innovation Officer, shared how our team is working to develop innovative and ethical AI-powered tools for qualitative analysis, our approach to responsible AI design, and future opportunities we are exploring to leverage AI for humanitarian response. Our conversation focused on how we can build practical, ethical frameworks for humanitarian AI and the importance of ensuring AI innovation is designed with communities to enhance human decision-making—so we can minimize risks instead of increasing them. For Kobo, these discussions are essential. As we build a more resilient sector to better serve communities, responsible innovation is at the core of our mission. 👏 Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation!
