Etsy is proud to serve as an advocate for the needs of small and micro businesses, and we know that protecting their interests is essential to their success 💌 Our CEO Josh Silverman, alongside members of our Advocacy and Community teams, spent a day with an incredible group of Etsy sellers in Washington, D.C. They spoke with policymakers to advocate for legislation that helps empower creative entrepreneurs. When legislators hear directly from the business owners in their communities, it creates real momentum for change—and helps shape policies that truly support our seller community. We’re proud to stand with our vibrant network of makers and small business owners!

We’re proud to share that Etsy was named a finalist in this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Network Compass Awards in the Capital Catalyst category, recognizing our consistent efforts to expand access to capital for entrepreneurs and small business owners. 🧡🤝 For many creators, entrepreneurship is a fulfilling pathway to economic independence. But many communities face significant barriers, like a lack of access to educational resources, and capital. Etsy’s Uplift Fund helps bridge that gap, supporting nonprofits that work to dismantle these barriers and foster equal opportunities to creative entrepreneurship. Etsy has always been about supporting our sellers and small businesses. That’s why we advocate for public policies that make it easier for creative entrepreneurs – on and off Etsy – to pursue their passions and start and grow their businesses. This week, the Etsy team was in Brussels with our CEO Josh Silverman and a group of talented sellers from across Europe for EU Artisan Day. This full-day event focused on connecting Etsy sellers directly with policymakers to illuminate the unique challenges faced by micro and small businesses (MSMEs), and advocate for policies that help them do business. We also released our latest policy proposal: "Think Micro First: Reimagining Policy for European Artisans and Creative Entrepreneurs”, which serves as a framework for how EU policymakers can support the unique needs of MSMEs. What happens when Etsy's technical minds unite for a week of creativity, collaboration & innovation? You get CodeMosaic! Our product and engineering teams recently gathered for our annual hackathon-inspired event, a week dedicated to challenging projects engineers are passionate about, outside the usual day-to-day. This year’s CodeMosaic marked several special moments: 👋 We welcomed Rafe Colburn back for his first CodeMosaic as Etsy CTO 🧡 We heard longtime Etsy engineering leader Keyur Govande deliver his last lecture before moving to his exciting new role as Depop’s CTO 💡We hosted our first ever Pitchathon, where teams brainstormed creative ideas to help improve our marketplace and deliver on our mission to Keep Commerce Human. We’re so proud of the innovation, teamwork, and energy we saw at this year’s event.
