Today we're released information on a new #SS7 bypass attack method - bypass via TCAP Tag Extension: https://lnkd.in/eKAjr2Nz In this blog, my colleague Martin Gallagher and I explain that while this attack is new, it just the latest in a sequence of exploits targeting different layers in the SS7 signalling protocol, especially the #TCAP layer. We discovered this when a known signalling threat actor used this method to trick SS7 security filters.
