Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. Food exceptional rooms good triple glazed closed to railway station

Very quiet area with very fresh air, a great place out of busy city live. Affordable and unique eateries , Lawson, coffee house and mini supermarket around. Onsen all around if you are onsen lover like me. This hotel has private and public onsen or bath the Japanese called them. Private bath just have to book when you arrive. 1min from asamushi station. Take train from Aomori to asamushi , 20mins 460yen. 2 to 3 days stays will be good. Service staff are friendly.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Everything was amazing: hotel, staff, food, location. Just 10/10!

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. It was just perfect, a lot of amazing amenities, a giant traditional japanese room, free chocolate and tea, i loved it

Kobori Ryokan nằm ở Hirosaki, cách Di tích Sannai-Maruyama 37 km và Lâu đài Hirosaki 16 phút đi bộ. This place is amazing, the staff is lovely, located in walking distance to the casttle,to restaurants and konbinis . There is a private bath, tattoo friendly, free to use. And the price was so cheap. I highly recommend to stay there!
