Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Lake Towada and 43 km of Sannai-Maruyama site. Exceptional service from manager and staff. Situated in Kuroishi in the Aomori region, Tabinoyado Saikawa features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to spa facilities. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Tsuta Onsen Ryokan is a ryokan set in a historic building in Towada, a few steps from Tsuta Hot Spring. Staff was amazing and helpful.

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fukaura, a few steps from Furofushi Onsen. Excellent Japan sea view of outside onsen with yummy buffet

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. Awesome sea view from both the room and onsen. Great staff.

Situated in Aomori and only 20 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, Yadoya Tsubaki features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very quiet area with very fresh air, a great place out of busy city live. Affordable and unique eateries , Lawson, coffee house and mini supermarket around. Onsen all around if you are onsen lover like me. This hotel has private and public onsen or bath the Japanese called them. Private bath just have to book when you arrive. 1min from asamushi station. Take train from Aomori to asamushi , 20mins 460yen. 2 to 3 days stays will be good. Service staff are friendly.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Everything was amazing: hotel, staff, food, location. Just 10/10!

Iroha Ryokan sijaitsee vain 2 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä JR Aomorin rautatieasemalta. Iroha Ryokan tarjoaa yksinkertaisia japanilaistyylisiä huoneita, joissa on taulu-tv. It was just perfect, a lot of amazing amenities, a giant traditional japanese room, free chocolate and tea, i loved it

Situated in Hirosaki in the Aomori region, with Hirosaki Castle nearby, Kobori Ryokan features accommodation with access to a public bath. This place is amazing, the staff is lovely, located in walking distance to the casttle,to restaurants and konbinis . There is a private bath, tattoo friendly, free to use. And the price was so cheap. I highly recommend to stay there!

KAMENOI HOTEL Aomori Makado provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 47 km of Sannai-Maruyama site and 4.4 km of Noheiji Battle Memorial. Beautiful hotel with a fabulous buffet and lovely onsen.
