Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaDuring out second night, we heard dancing music almost non-stop. We weren't sure where it came from, but the noise of constant music beats was annoying. Around 00:30 past midnight, I came down to the front desk and reported the problem. We weren't sure what was done, but we kept hearing the music going back to our room. We dont want to go down stair again to report the same problem again after that. It was too late, we had to be up early the next day, so we used earplugs.
The room is clean. The staff are nice.

CanadaThe team at the niu were absolutely phenomenal! Helpful, friendly, efficient, accommodating and lovely. A real highlight of our trip as a large group of friends. The hotel amenities are also excellent and we really enjoyed all the nice little touches, such as the stroopwaffles at reception. Excellent value for money and will 100% come back again

AustraliaLocation - Hotel is situated in a complex of building - not accessible directly by Car- there is no ramp to take luggage to the hotel, have to drag suitcases over stairs and then in the complex to reach the Hotel. Nearest tram is a good 15 minutes walk. No attractions are nearby. Lobby is very basic with limited food menu. It looks more like a student accommodation rather than a Holiday Inn hotel, No basic amenities in the room. everything is chargeable. We needed towels and were told no towels were available after following up multiple times. When we said we will provide a review on social media according to their service, towels appeared magically. You have to contact the reception via what's app ( no phone in the room) and no one replied in spite of multiple texts and phone calls.

PhilippinesWe had 3 breakfasts at the hotel, and it would be nice to have variations. Baked beans, bacon, scrambled eggs, and hard boil eggs are the only warm options. They only have one set of menu at the snack bar as well. You don't have that much of an option in terms of food.
Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff. We were lucky to stay in a room with the canal view.

QatarNothing, overall experience spoils the state. Beware about this property.
I booked three "Premium Queen Rooms". However, upon check-in, we were given Standard Rooms instead of the "Premium Queen Rooms". When we brought this to the property’s attention, they refused to make any corrections. We were traveling with small children, and the three rooms assigned to us were located at completely different corners of the floor. Two rooms, which were near each other, were still at least 50 meters apart, and the third room was nearly 100 meters away. When we attempted to speak with the reception staff, they were very rude and unprofessional.

United KingdomStayed for one night, so not worth the fuss at the time. However, I waited patiently for staff to check me in. All staff seemed to be busy - understandable. However, a random member of staff came from behind after waiting for 10 minutes (with nobody else in the queue) and asked for my documentation and went to the check-in clerk who then assisted me. Why could this not have been done without assistance, and what was the clerk doing that he was unable to check me in? Towels used were of cheap make, and ripped. Shower robes not given, and the towels weren't bath sheets. Shower grouting was discoloured, and some furniture damaged/ broken. Poor lighting within the room - goes for the decor but not practical. The room was fairly tight too. Visiting Europe, I travelled to nine countries, staying in the likes of the Marriott, Sheraton, and many other international chains including some Ibis. This was by far the most expensive hotel (additional £30 per night compared to the other hotels, totalling £145 a night), and it was not pleasant compared to some of those. Furthermore, to emphasis the difference, I stayed in suites or superior rooms in those hotels whereas Holiday Inn was a standard double! If the price was reduced, I could overlook some of these issues, however, costing more and not providing similar services? Airport is 1 hours from the main train stations (public transport), and the train station is a 1 hour walk or 20 minutes bus journey with a 15 minute walk.

GermanyOur stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect! Location & Parking: The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful area with restaurants and bakeries nearby, and it’s super easy to get to the city center with Uber or public transport. Another great plus is the parking – there’s plenty of space right under the hotel, and you can drive directly to it, which made everything so convenient. Rooms: The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing ensures a peaceful stay. And the views? Stunning! All three rooms we booked had gorgeous views, making our mornings extra special. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was amazing, with a great variety of sweet and savory options. Everything was fresh and delicious, giving us the perfect start to each day. Staff: This is where the hotel truly shines! The team is so warm, friendly, and attentive – they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Marianna and her colleague (I regret not asking his name, but he had short hair and glasses) for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were incredibly kind and thoughtful, always with a smile, and truly made us feel at home ❤️ We’re incredibly grateful for their efforts and want to underline that both are a credit to this hotel, and we truly hope their hard work and beautiful attitudes are recognized and rewarded. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts! This hotel has everything you could wish for – great location, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and the kindest staff. We’ll be back for sure!
