The staff was amazing and they went above and beyond to make you feel at home and like a part of the family. They cooked food for the guests and they gave great recommendations on places to go in the city. It really made me see how hospitable Jordanians are and it gave me a new appreciation for the culture. I will definitely be back!

The Castle Star is great hostel, not only good price and location, but also nice staff and the best view. Staff ( maybe is owner, I am not sure ) helped us found the driver from airport to Amman, tell us a lot of useful information. On the night, the terrace can see old town's light, I loved it. Even Amman was very cold in February, but The Castle Star had hot water for shower, so don't warry about that. The most important thing is the bathrooms are separated for men and women, which is very helpful for female solo travelers. If you are looking for a place where you can meet kind locals, don't miss this place!

I don't know how it is possible that when I get the confirmation from Booking, the tax and other charges are indicated as included. However when I was physically there to pay, the hostel added extra, and explained that it was for tax and other charges. Also being almost at the top of a hill makes walking up a bit tiring

It was in a quiet area. The room has a nice view of the Roman amphitheatre.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The location was great for downtown . Comfortable shared lounge and kitchen to prepare food and make drinks. The shower was nice but took awhile to warm up as solar panels.

Nice view at night.Shower room are clean and can rent a hair drier ,then staff are very kindness.They treated me same like Jordanian, told me fair price on something. I got back the hostel again while I left my cloth.They kept it then gave me kindness like tea and something to eat by homemade!!Furthermore they arranged taxi to go to airport bus station,told me reasonable time using taxi.(uber taxi was expensive time)

Very charming welcome and helpful staff. Not luxurious but clean, adequate and well-appointed. Parking spaces right next to the property. A very short walking distance to the amazing Roman theater and convenient access to the Amman fortress on the other side. A very pleasant experience altogether, good value for money and caring staff

Being right in the centre meant it was quite noisy, but I am a light sleeper so it probably wouldn't effect everyone.

Location is close to Citadel and 5 min of waking down to the city where you will find all you would like. In front of the hotel is one way street where you can easy park the car on the side of the road. The parking is safe.

Amazing location, very clean and comfortable rooms, and exceptional staff. My friend lost their phone in a taxi as we arrived, our tour guide, staff and hotel owner went to great lengths to track down the car the next day, which was some miles outside of Amman, and arranged the return of the phone!

There was only one issue with this property. The drain in the bathroom floor didn't drain very well so the water that splashed out of the shower sat on the floor. This wouldn't have been a problem most likely at any other time of year but as it was winter the air temperature wasn't warm enough for it to evaporate!

The location of this property was great if you want to visit the Citadel (just behind the property), the Roman Ampitheatre and downtown Amman. It was situated on a quiet road with plenty of road parking, which was required as we had hired a car. The property's best feature was the wonderful view it had over the Roman Ampitheatre and the bustling main streets of Amman. The staff were lovely and someone was available at any time of day at the desk in case of any issues. The property had a relaxed atmosphere and felt like it was run by authentic locals as opposed to a chain. The room was a good size with a very comfy bed and suitable duvet cover for the chillier winter nights. Although small, the bathroom was well equipped with a good shower.

Can't think about anything is particular, for the price, this was a great deal.

Location and views. Got a room with nice views of Amman, really great in the evening and night. Not far to walk downtown and see the area. Also, much quieter than the other similar accommodations. The building might look simple in the beginning, but the rooms are clean, the aircon works, and the hot water is available.

I enjoyed this stay very much. The water pressure was a bit low, but other than that everything else was great.

The property is centrally located with amazing views from the female dorms. The room was spacious and beds were very comfortable each with their own outlet, light and cubby.

Friendly and accommodating staff made our experience enjoyable from start to finish. Had a good experience renting a car with them, the whole process went effortlessly. The hostel's location was also very convenient, making it easy to explore the area. The view towards the Roman theater is amazing.
