Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe "blinds" didn't close fully and even if they did were not going to keep the room dark. The toilets and showers, while being shared were not clean. For fans going to LFC games, this hotel does not have a secure place to mind bags for you.
I did not have any expectations but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The location is within a 5 minute walk of Anfield. Our room was looking out at the mural of Salah. The bed was comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful.

SwitzerlandThe hostel sits right above a pub so it gets extremely smelly in the later hours. The toilets are not cleaned often and TP is not restocked quickly.
located very next to the Anfield stadium, so perfect for a weekend visit for a gameday. The rooms are fairly clean. Decent value for money.

Canada-facilities management: at first I had trouble with opening the room door, even though I’ve submitted the correct pin. Please check on Room no. 4 door if possible -the design of ladders. I was on the top most bed, which I definitely need the ladder to get to it. But while there are 2 sides of such bed, only 1 movable ladder is available in the room. The next morning when I woke up I found out that the ladder has been removed from my side, and I struggled to get down the bed and nearly missed my train. It was early in the morning so I can’t wake other guests to help me out. Eventually I had to take the risk to get down from 4m high without any protections. I’m 5’7” so I still managed to climb down while holding the bed edges, but I don’t know whether shorter guests could do so...
The location - very close to Anfield and it’s good for staying after a late night match

United KingdomThere was no reception.
I don't think I did book a quiet room. Upon arrival, whoever I was sharing a room with was exiting the building, via the inside stairs. I only know it was someone I was sharing with s they came back at 6am in the morning. I got to the hsostel at around 10, and after being told via msg they couldnt plan for my arrival in advanced, I was happy to recieve my codes, and when I entred my room two young men were in there beds one who said I could switch on the light. I was very tired so decided to get straight into bed - the beds are visually lovely, all white and clean, bedding also, so fresh i was so happy, but the matress - terrible. uncomfortable, and noisy for my fellow roommates. there was a couple of slamming foors but the most annoying was the fellow room mate who said i could turn the light on when entering the room, did fidget quite a lot until gone midnight. so i decided to take a shower and there was a mouse in there!!!! it ran past me under the door, excaping very quickly. All in all I am happy, as there was just me and two others in a 5 bed room so nice and quiet. it was hard to find staff as check out was early being 10 am i had a couple of bags that i did not want to take into the town. thank fullly i was allowed to store them for a couple of hours and one of the owners was very kind.

KyrgyzstanEverything was ok expect of other guests. I would suggest to not take very drunk people, because when I stay in Hostel I came especially late just to sleep and go. but there was a guy on the top of the bed, and while other guest including were sleeping that guys was blowing his nose until morning, and he blew his nose on the bed, it was very noise. I was very upset, I could not sleep well.
the distance between hostel and Anfield. I really loved it.

GermanyConsider when booking that going to the city centre means either a 40-50 minute walk or a bus ride for a few pounds. The last bus goes around midnight. Also always make sure that you have the right code, because access to the hotel is digital with codes.
Good option for staying in Liverpool on a budget. Right next to Anfield Stadium, in a quiet area. Good rooms and beds. Kitchen is available, with minimal equipment (kettle, microwave, sink). Hosts try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
