ItalyRoom was super small, and the beds not comfortable. There was also a very loud ventilator in the room. The kitchen and common sitting area was super small too, forget about using it if someone else is already doing so. Overall, found it quite pricey for the services you get, and I would not stay here again.

MexicoI stayed for 12 nights in the hostel together with my sisters. No value for money. Reception and payment: I tried to settle the full payment one month before check-in. I contacted the hostel by email & phone and did not get any help to settle the payment in advance. At check-in, there was nobody at the reception, so I contacted the staff by email & phone every day to settle the payment with no response. On the third day, I received a notification that the access code was going to be cancelled if I didn't settle the payment within one hour. I was on the road with no phone reception and had to deviate from my itinerary to call the hostel and ask about how to settle the payment, something I had been asking for a long time. The hotel staff was rude and said that he was going to wait for me at the hotel to settle the payment. I could settle the payment in person on that day very late at night, but the whole ordeal could have been prevented. Check-in: The reception staff, Trevor, was very rude and he did not make any effort to answer my questions or provide any help when needed. Until the third night we received the instructions of how the hostel works and the facilities that we could use. The staff, Trevor, lives at the hostel but he is not easily reachable in person, by phone, or email. I experienced issues with the payment and saw other guests that were struggling to get their room and bed number because they could not contact the staff, who was actually staying at the hostel. Cleanness: The rooms were dirty, particularly under the bed. The bathrooms and kitchen were also very dirty. Common areas were very small. There were dirty bed sheets on the floor in the laundry room and towels and bedsheets on the tables in the kitchen. The lockers were not big enough for a normal size backpack. The hostel staff allowed other people to stay on our beds without telling us! Also, the hostel staff, Trevor, organized parties that went on after 3am. It was very noisy.
The location of the hostel is excellent. It is very well connected, and there is a bus stop right around the corner.

United KingdomOther guests were not very clean and it seemed like there was only one cleaner who was doing their best but they could maybe have done with some more staff. . We had a slight problem with our arrival time and though it wasn’t a problem it was very difficult to get in touch with the owner.
Well located, right on Main Street, bed was comfortable and room was nice and private.

CanadaCold room, no place to put clothes, no hooks or hangers, no shelves or drawers. Extremely expensive room for a hostile, but located at the busiest point at the top of the stairs and near the busy loud kitchen. How can you charge so much money and then locate the private room near all the activity? Also no real lobby or comfortable space to sit outside of the room. No chair in the room. Prices were inflated to double because it was a long weekend. Noisy because of the music right below the kitchen which was right beside our room at night. The email about check-in was incorrect in a number of ways. It was a rainy day and we were stuck outside for a while trying to figure out how to get our luggage in. No one answered texts, the person named any email Trevor didn't even work there, the instructions about how to get in with the code and some kind of screen the door was inaccurate.
Bed was fine, bathroom was okay, reception staff was good.

JapanThere is no HOT shower. And if the hostel requires us to take off our shoes at the entrance, they should provide slippers. At least for the toilet. I felt uncomfortable going to the bathroom barefoot.
