Uber is working very bed there.
Uber is working very bed there. You'd better ask your hotel for a transfer from the airport and back. We paid around 70-80 euros for this service. Tropea is a very touristic place, and prices to rent an umbrella with 2 beds on the beach are just crazy (25-60 euros per day in high season!) You'd better take your own beach umbrellas here :) Many "tourist trap" restaurants, but you can find good places to eat if you choose 4.5 and higher ratings on Google Maps. I liked "Da Ribaudo" and "Il Convivio" restaurants the most! Great, very clean and very warm sea!Guest review byAnastasiaUkraine - 10.0

great sea for snorkeling but sometimes jellyfish on Grotticelle beach (very painful for kids) - in Tropea no jellyfish and calm sea all the times. in summer has the area problems with water supply - before check-in ask the owner of the property of the state of water in the tanks (we had bad luck in July, our apartment ran out of water twice a week - very stressful) the beaches of Capo Vaticano are available by car (parking is for 1,50 Eur/hour) or on foot 20min walk downhill (but up the hill in hot weather is guite a challenge) snorkeling in this sea is like in an aquarium :-)Guest review byBarboraCzech Republic - 10.0
Great apartment close to city Centre and beach.
Great apartment close to city Centre and beach. We only stayed one night as we were in transit to Sicily and wanted to stay and check out Pizzo. We should have stayed longer and enjoyed the beautiful clear water. I recommend you consider this apartment it is very nice and well appointed.Guest review byFSGASPOAustralia - 10.0

A delightful little town with an old castle and picturesque views. Not many shops around in the center, however. Only found one farmacia and one supermarket other than a small alimentari. Great Lidos on the beach where one can eat and drink while enjoying the beach with sun beds and umbrellas for 10 euros for two.Guest review byalec - 10.0

Having only just sold my apartment in Scalea after 20 wonderful years, I cannot praise Scalea enough. Unfortunately Old Father Time is catching up with me and caused the sale. Scalea is a great town in Calabria with the sea, mountains , shopping centre , several supermarkets, and loads of good restaurants in Scalea itself and the surrounding area. I have found the locals friendly and helpful.Guest review byWilliamUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I know we were in italy but all the restaurants seem to have much the same menu. Not much choice of other types of restaurants. Although we are avid walkers there wasn't much to do here. Catanzaro lido was a nice day out but one day was more than enough. We didn't hire a car so venturing too far was not a starter. Choice of train destinations limited because of length of time of journeysGuest review byMichaelMalta - 10.0

The owner Martina and all the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean, rooms were cleaned every day. Martina arranged our pick up from the airport and also the hire of a scooter, nothing was too much trouble. The lovely beach of Riaci is a 5 minute drive away, roads very steep if you have to walk.Tropea ia a 15 minute drive. I would definitely recommend this hotel.Guest review byWilliamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Very friendly people and a very lovely little town with a gorgeous seawalk. Mountains on one side and a super clean beautiful sea on the other....Best time to visit I was told after July and August when it won't be too crowded and thus more enjoyable. If you love the sea as much as I do....I would definitely go mid September......Guest review byCarloUnited States - 10.0

This was my second one-day visit to Cosenza, and I still haven't had time to fully explore. However, both the historic part and the modern centre are extensive, so are worth more time. I haven't yet explored beyond the old town for restaurants, but there is a good trattoria with friendly service next to the cathedral. (Calabria Bella)Guest review byDeryk MayerItaly
