The trash in the water was disappointing and considering we are paying marine pass and diving fees it’s disappointing to not see any effort to be cleaning the seas or collection of the amount of trash. There are also no dedicated trails to explore the island and again, fees should be used to create this feature to enhance the visitor experience. There should also be dedicated transport services to the islands thus eliminating fluctuating and at times expensive transport to waisai or sorongGuest review byDe OliveiraOman - 10.0
Abundance of marine life, slow pace.
Abundance of marine life, slow pace. I’d recommend bringing a snorkel vest for Raja Ampat for visibility to boats and safety just in case caught in a current. Snorkeling here was just about as good as the diving in the area was. Recommend bringing a flashlight when traveling here. I had no problems with mosquitoes; nevertheless, I used the mosquito net every night. I recommend going to see the GIANT turtles about 20 minutes away by boat. There was a lot to do here honestly—-even if I just floated around the house reef.Guest review byWheat - 10.0

The staffs are friendly, the excursion, day trip price is reasonable, foods are full board, meals are great with variety of fish, meat and vegetables, fruits. Location is great and close to most attractions dive, snorkeling spots. The house reef is ok and easy to swim when high tide. Bungalow is huge with 2 stories and can easily accommodate 4-5 people, love the terrace, it’s spacious and spectacular view, we can spend all day on the terrace, lots of fishes to spot like baby shark, walking shark and some beauty birdGuest review byAnonymousThailand - 8.0
Good idea to bring your own snacks. Travel torch handy.
Good idea to bring your own snacks. Travel torch handy. Natural sunblock and sunscreen. Your own snorkeling equipment. Packet of travel wipes, for face and hands. Remember to drink plenty of water, homestay has a dispenser in the room. All boat trips from homestay extra cost, Yeabuba Jetty a great snorkeling spot.Guest review byHelena DarsanaIndonesia - 8.0

Was interesting to explore the island. if you stay here there is an ATM in raja ampat city not far from the accommodation at an indomart. The roads are not too busy. We used a scooter. There are cars available to go to blue river or other places.Guest review byErica - 10.0
The location is very beautiful.
The location is very beautiful. Beautiful landscapes, it's a shame that it's starting to become a tourist location. Plastic started appearing everywhere, in the water and on the ground. The locals are only interested in money, they do nothing against plastic pollution. Upon entering the area, you are charged a fee used for the maintenance and development of the area, but I personally have not seen anything in this regard. The prices of products and transport are very high compared to other areas, being justified by the high price of fuel. In my opinion, this fuel price is not as high as the locals claim, being the only reason for the excessively high prices and the desire for profit. The area and location are very beautiful, being places dedicated to nature lovers and especially those passionate about diving and snorkling.Guest review byFlorinRomania - 10.0

i spent 3 weeks on kri , so i cant compare to other islands except Arborek (kri reef far superior). other travelers say kri next best to Pam (Fam) for reef quality. you can walk the whole island on the beach at low tide except the southeast quadrant where there are no homestays. you can also walk to neighboring Mansuar Island at low tide; i snorkeled there twice - the reef extends all the way between islands - but it is at least a kilometer and maybe a bit far for most people. no stores of any kind on kri; Mansuar has a small shop at Yenbuba (not to be confused with Yenbuba Homestay on Kri) wher yu can buy sodas, bandaids, insect repellent, toothpaste, sweets. hike up the trail on a clear day to the top of the mountain where there is a good view of the west half of the islandGuest review byEdwin Roland - 10.0
Listening to our host's recommendations for places to see...
Listening to our host's recommendations for places to see and what to do. We didnt follow a pre-scheduled list from online sources. We let local knowledge be our guides. This enhanced our experience. Embrace the food. Its tasty, its home cooked. Its local catch of the day, locally sourced fruits and vegetables. On one tour, Paulus our host pulled up to a boat and bought a fish. On our plates that evening!Guest review byKim BondiCanada - 10.0
Raja Ampat was a dream!
Raja Ampat was a dream! We couldn't be happier with our stay! Methos, Jonas (our guide), and the family were super super nice to us, and made our trip a dream! We did all the "excursions" with Methos, while Jonas was our guide. They were super flexible and nice with it, and snorkeling was amazing! We saw reef sharks, big turtles, manta rays, and all the different fishes and corals. Absolutely amazing! The homestay is also amazing! It is in the water, and we saw most days dolphins passing by early in the morning and late in the afternoon. We could watch the sunset from the balcony! We stayed for a week there and we felt we needed at least a week more! Small tips and things to take into account. There is no wi-fi, but the 4G works quite well. You can take this time to disconnect, but if not, make sure to have a big internet package plan. The bathroom/shower is with a bucket. Very different, but we got used to it very quickly and was quite nice to have this different experience. There are no fans/ac, so it might get a bit warm at night. Most nights we had a bit of rain, which made the temperature perfect :) All in all, would 100% go back and it made us fall in love with the place. I hope to see you soon Methos and Jonas!Guest review byYuriSpain - 10.0
One the most enchanting place on earth.
One the most enchanting place on earth. I have travelled to many places (Carribbean, Hawaii, Fiji, Bali, Philippines, South America...) Raja Ampat ranks among the firsts: snorkeling in spectacular clear waters, diving in ocean paradise full of diversity. I like the people too, they are helpful and calm. Though life isn't easy for anybody... Getting around is mainly by taxis (cars, motorbike, taxi boat...), isn't difficult to find but can be very costly. Be sure to have a local SIM by registering your phone with a provider as internet isn't widely available. I was recommended Telkomsel and it worked pretty ok just a bit slower than in Europe, got network problem on one afternoon. This along with power banks and eventually a flashlight. Night time isn't powered with lamps, some places do with solar panels but may not be sufficient in term of lighting. Waterproof bags are a must to protect your items during your trips, + sunscreen clothing/accessories. I am not mentioning lotions as they can be a source of pollution to water and marine life. Mosquitoes are plenty everywhere, and very hungry...Guest review byisabelleFrance
