A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart...
A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle is located just outside the village. The village itself is very pleasant with a beautiful village green which had a market on it the day we left. The Fiddlers Restaurant on the village green was a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Urquhart Castle is well worth visiting with a great visitor centre and Loch Ness as a splendid backdrop to the stunning castle remains.Guest review byStephenHong Kong - 8.0
Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness.
Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness. It's quite in the mornings and evenings but gets very busy over day with day tourists by the bus load. Our accommodation was not on the main road, so we hardly noticed the other tourists. Great place for day touring to all four directions as we did.Guest review byTinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lots of interesting things even though it was onky a small village. Loved our stay at Craig na Dav, a lovely B&B. Would highly recommend it. Comfortable accommodation with a great choice of breakfast. The sisters who run the place were really nice and made us so welcome,Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

An especially beautiful section of Loch Ness with stunning views, and walking the Falls of Foyers was reason alone enough to visit. The Waterfall Cafe is a very welcome stop, and I recommend the cheese and haggis toasties when you're there.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Wonderful venue with views that literally take your breath away. The dining experience is restaurant quality. Hosts are superb, it’s clear their joy is your joy. Property is stunning, interior design you think but it’s just the imagination of Karla & Karl and it so works.Guest review bystuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is from previous experience as the hotel I stayed in was some distance outside. Drumnadrochit is a lovely little town and well worth stopping over for a night on your travels. The people are friendly and helpful and I have visited many times over the years and always found it pleasant.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Fort Augustus definately worth a visit although gets very busy with tourists. We appreciated slightly quieter places with less people around. There are a few places to eat out and would recommend the Chinese food at the Richmond House Hotel where we were staying. A couple of pubs too which are right on the canal and providing a welcome restGuest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was slightly put off by the owner message that we had to arrive by a certain time for the key to be available. I think it was by 7 pm and it seemed as though she would not make exception for emergencies.Guest review byPhylissUnited States - 10.0
Our visit to Foyers Bay Hotel was exceptional.
Our visit to Foyers Bay Hotel was exceptional. Elly and Chris made us instantly feel at home. They cooked a beautiful hot breakfast for their guests with plenty of choices. Dinner was also cooked on request. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the quiet, relaxed country feel to the place and the visiting wildlife such as deer and badgers.Guest review byDavies
