Alghero is one of the most charming and interesting towns of Sardinia. It is the perfect blend of history, beaches, sea and traditions. This uniquie town has maintained over the years the symbols of the Aragonese and Spanish domination, a fortified town with high walls. The old town is the most vivid part with local restaurants, souvenir shops, and bars. Vintage trains, panoramic buses, horse and cart are all the different and original ways to discover the main attractions of the town and surroundings. Discover the beautiful white beaches of the Lido San Giovanni and Maria Pia at walking distance from town or further north towards the Nature Park of Porto Conte with beathtaking views over the promotory of Capo Caccia, where the Neptunes Grottoes lie.
