Located within the historic confines of the Ming Dynasty city walls, Sofitel Legend People’s Grand Hotel Xian is nestled in the bustling heart of the city center, offering close proximity to the iconic Bell Tower and the vibrant commercial and financial hub. Guests will find themselves surrounded by a wealth of historical landmarks and attractions, including the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Great Mosque, City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Forest of Steles Museum, Yongxingfang, and the bustling Muslim Quarter. For travelers opting for public transportation, the hotel is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from Subway Lines 1 and 4, with various bus routes accessible within a 5-minute stroll. For those arriving by air, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is approximately a 45-minute drive away, spanning a distance of 40 kilometers. Opened as a State Guesthouse in 1953, this iconic building provides a unique sense of place and time in a city that was China’s capital throughout 13 dynasties. The architecture is a harmonious blend of French and Sino-Russian inspiration plus local style. Sensitive renovation installed state of the art technology while making the most of its spacious rooms, lofty ceilings, elegant mouldings and coving, and many art deco features. This is Sofitel’s first Legend hotel in Greater China, the second in Asia and the fifth in the world.
