I always go to Skye for my birthday for a few days and had never been to the Elgol part of the island. I know the island and the climate quite well so was expecting pretty much anything and everything. I booked this because of the view and it absolutely did not disappoint! The day of my birthday was gloriously sunny and I sat with a lovely glass of chilled champagne, looking at that view in the afternoon. It is absolutely idyllic and even the word perfect isn't good enough. The bed was so comfortable I slept a FULL 8 hours uninterrupted and then had coffee in bed with that view too. The shower was fabulous and the towels were spot on. The little toilet with the ever-so-cute wash hand basin was like stepping into a little bit of Hobbiton haha. So quirky and wonderful. Dishwasher was handy on the last day when you are rushing to check out The day after my birthday was quite stormy so lighting the fire and enjoying the rest of my champagne in the cosy atmospheric cabin was just absolutely perfect. Sunshine or storm I couldn't fault any part of it. The finishing bit of "polish" on the whole thing was the little hip flask of whisky which I suspect was Talisker (which I happen to love) that was there on arrival was the cherry on top of the cake so to speak. This place hasn't been open that long for bookings relatively speaking but it is already booked up for most of the year and you can absolutely see why. So I found a slot in the summer where there's the obvious more daylight hours and sunsets and booked again it was so good. It really is that lovely!!!

The Cabins - House of Juniper ligger 14 kilometer fra Kyle of Lochalsh jernbanestasjon, og har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. Gorgeous cabins, lovely modern interior. Great kitchen facilities, beach maybe 5 mins walk. We loved it a lot. Great to take your dog, too, he felt like home.

The location is incredible. Waking up with the view of the misty mountains was magical. The forest sorrounding it made for a great nocturnal walk. The wooden interior and the mcDonald tartan sofas makes you feel incredibly cozy. I loved the books about Skye’s history. It helped a lot to immerse more in an already magical place. The staff was also great and helpful.

Bare 9 kilometer fra Dunvegan Castle ligger Araucaria Croft Skye. Dette overnattingsstedet har en hage, en terrasse, tilgang til gratis WiFi og boenheter med balkong. Absolutely loved this little cottage near Dunvegan village. Very spacious, with a huge kitchen and all the facilities available including a washing machine, dryer and dish washer. The living area was also huge with a large selection of reading materials available for our perusal. Bathroom was great and included a bath, bedroom was also lovely with a comfy bed and ample space. Cannot find a single fault to mention, it was just an amazing stay. The only down side to our experience was having to leave.
