All the expected aspects were great as per a 5 star hotel - location, comfort, cleanliness. Lovely foyer. Very friendly and attentive staff (10/10). The bidet toilet is great and works very well. We need to get one at home when we renovate the main bathroom!

1. If you're planning to take a dinner cruise, you can take the Icon Siam - Sathon boat and then walk to the hotel. But if you're not interested in a cruise, this hotel has nothing to offer. 2. The concierge staff are helpful and kind, unlike front desk.

FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

What an amazingly vibrant city, so much to see and do.

What an amazingly vibrant city, so much to see and do. Loved seeing the riverfront and Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and the markets all around the city! The traffic is unbelievably fast and dense, but many options for transit make the city easy to navigate. For a big city, we felt pretty safe travelling around, although , as with any large city, it is important to stay vigilant and be sensible when in unfamiliar areas. All in all, we didn't see nearly as much as we wanted, so worth a return visit!

Lots to do and lots to see.

Lots to do and lots to see. We took 9 days and didn't even scratch the surface of the city. Sukhumvit was a great place to stay (can't go past "The Night Hotel" for value and location), walking distance to all means of transport, and the Terminal 21 Shopping Centre (a must see while you are there). Bangkok provides fantastic food options, shopping, and plenty of cultural things to see and do. Would highly recommend shopping at Iconsiam...a trip to Chatuchak markets...a dinner cruise on the river...a walk through Chinatown and little India (use google maps and you can walk from one to the other)...and make the effort to get to the Srinagarinda Train Night Market (a bit out of the way, but one of the highlights). Finally, if you want to spoil yourself one night, go to El Guacho Steak House (next to T21 shopping Centre). It's a bit pricey compared to most other places, but the food and atmosphere are amazing. To make travel easier be sure to download the "Bolt" app (it's the equivalent of Uber). Whilst the trains are quicker, booking a car on Bolt is less pressure (you know what you are paying before you get in, you can follow the journey on a map in real time, and the cars are all air-con, and very well kept). It was our first time to Thailand, and we will definitely be going back!

I didn't come for holidays, just a pit-stop, coming down from the north before returning to my Europe, hence no "juicy details". Next time I'll come for the city, lot's of stuff I couldn't take time to see

Great city with vibrant vibes. A city that never sleeps , & that caters for every persons preferences. First class public transportation . Great shops & restaurants .Friendly & very safe environment. Although communication is sometimes a challenge , yet the locals are always eager to help & assist . Bangkok is truly a must city to visit with any trip to Thailand . Will definitely recommend it to my family & friends .

Hotel was back far enough from sukhumvit rd So it was quiet for Bangkok. Reception staff were very friendly and could answer any questions about tours or restaraunts etc. My daughter left behind chlothes and a hanbag in a rush to get to the next hotel. They packaged it beautifully took it to the post office and arrived a few days later. They only asked for 80bht to cover postage. Thank you Jam. Your communication and kindness will not be forgotten.

Everything - having travelled round Cambodia and Thailand and stayed in great hotels, I needed a one night stay before my flight home! This place topped everywhere else I'd stayed! The staff were amazing, the rooms so lovely, comfortable and clean! Breakfast again was amazing! The location is quiet yet within 5/10mins walking distance to the wonderful hustle and bustle of Bangkok!
