The whole family was so welcoming, hospitable and friendly. To relax and sit and chat was a special part of our stay. The atmospheric dining area with its books, pictures and colourful walls was charming. It overlooked a lovingly tended, pretty garden whilst breakfast and dinner, cooked by Mallika, were perfect. These guys really worked hard for their guests. Trekking was great. They drove many kilometers through rough roads to return my kindle to me which I left in room. A fantastic ecolodge. Must visit.

The place is nice and secluded in nature. Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation in the jungle which fits the experience. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is plentiful and you will not go hungry! The walk to Meemure and the lakegala view is around 30-45 minutes on the road. Meemure does not have a village centre or hub, it's comprised of house and guest houses scattered along the road (there is one shop and an ATM, so don't expect cafes and restaurants). So staying here rather that Meemure "centre" makes no difference to the experience, as you will spend your evening in a guest house. The family are communicative on WhatsApp and help you with hiking guides and transport. I arrived by bus and they were waiting by the road to guide me to the property (I do not think I would have found it on my own in the dark as it's set away from the road). Amazing stay, thank you so much for the experience!

We stayed at this place for 10 days, and it was one of the most comfortable and beautiful experiences during our entire trip around Sri Lanka. The view from the room is absolutely stunning — you can lie in bed and admire the mountains and a reservoir that looks like a fjord. Truly a magical setting. The room is very spacious (over 50 m²), with high-quality finishes, stylish design, and a small kitchen. We had a huge balcony on the second floor, which was perfect for relaxing. Everything was there: hot water, fridge, a work desk, and great Wi-Fi. The hosts are incredibly friendly and caring. The staff is excellent — always ready to help with anything. The food deserves a special mention: delicious and hearty breakfasts and dinners, everything was prepared with great quality.

The beds were nice, they had mosquito nets but when I was there I didn't have one mosquito bite. The bug free dining area. Bird watching from the deck. The phone service, for being where you are was fairly good. We went for a hike to the waterfalls, and it was epic!
