The city has such a vibe.
The city has such a vibe. And i found it much safer than I imagined, but the traffic is a nightmare. Use the Mio - super cheap and efficient - and if you can use the Mio cable car up to Siloe. Waunana restauant was great. The market (Galeria Alameda) is wonderful, especially for fruit. Off the beaten path, but the Casa de las Memorias del conflicto y la reconciliación is an amazing space on memorialisation and restoration after this history of conflict in Cali and the Pacific region. Never felt in danger although we didn’t venture on foot to unknown areas. Taxi drivers tend to slightly overcharge or go the longest route. Have your destiantion on your GPS to make sure you know the shortest route. A Small tip is most welcome.Guest review byGLORIAColombia - 2.0

A very gritty town with little of interest outside the historic district, and very little even there. I love all the bakeries outside the downtown area, especially along Pasoancho (Calle 13th) and everywhere in the suburbs. Not on my list of places to go back to.And a taxi driver jiggled his meter at the end of my last trip to the bus station to make it read 50% higher...I caught him.Guest review byWim - 10.0

Cali is super friendly and diverse in its design. Barrio San Antonio is beautiful and a must see. Also make sure that you visit Parque de Perros and the park of the cats on the river side. You will find good priced food, La Sirena is highly recommended for seafood, you can find it in the Jardin PLaza mall or , even better, at the Alameda market.Guest review byDirkIreland - 8.0

Amazing city.
Amazing city. Vibrant, happy people around, great natural juices and fruits everywhere. I have the feeling there is not that much experience dealing with tourists as other Colombian cities that may be more popular, so you experience a natural very honest interaction with staff. The taxi drivers are honest and some times they even have candies at the end of the ride :D You have to book in advance tickets to access to some of the great salsa shows the city offer. The city is clean and organized... definitely the Cop16 had a positive impact on it. Very much recommended.Guest review byCarolinaColombia

The staff were friendly and helpful and very accommodating. This was our first trip with our new baby and the hotel made it so easy for us. A cot was already in the room when we arrived, as requested. The facilities are very nice, and there is a great buffet breakfast. The room Service was also very helpful for us!
