By day, view the falls from the riverfront promenade, or for an up-close-and-personal experience, the Hornblower Niagara Cruise takes you right into the swell. Rain ponchos are provided. Alternatively, there’s the Journey Behind the Falls – a walk through the rock behind Niagara. Handy portholes help you experience the thundering water.
Slightly downstream are the American Falls, less well-known and less impressive, but worth a look. At night, both falls get illuminated by colored lights – an incredible sight. Further downstream is the Rainbow Bridge which you can walk across to get an American stamp in your passport. Just check your visa requirements first.
The city itself has 7 golf courses, with one right by the river – be careful with your swing! Other Niagara Falls attractions include casinos, movie theaters and Marineland Canada, featuring the world's largest whale habitat for viewing orcas both above and below ground.

This is our second year in a row going to Niagara Falls.
This is our second year in a row going to Niagara Falls. Wherever you go the people are friendly and we always feel safe. I love the diversity of people that you see while you are out. The falls are beautiful. Both years we took a hike and did the activities at Cliffton Hill. Our daughters aged 14, 12, and 7 all enjoy these activities. This year we did the ropes course which was also a big hit. We do a lot of walking to avoid paying for parking every day but that just makes sure we sleep at night. The magic show was decent. The Niagara Falls city on the Canadian side is a really fun place. Lots of rides and fun for kids. Good bars and restaurants for families. So close to the Falls. Great experience. Absolutely incredible and make sure you do a tour. It gets you in front of the lines and all the history. Do the tour with everything included / it’s expensive but worth the money. The Falls are spectacular!
The Falls are spectacular! We had dinner at the Skylon revolving restaurant and saw the Fireworks display over the Falls at 10PM. The meal was very good although pricey. There is an indoor and outdoor observation deck at the top of the restaurant that offered amazing views of the city and Falls.Guest review byBob
