Such a lovely city.
Such a lovely city. The centre of town was better than expected. So many choices of amazing cafes and restaurants with tables set outdoors and along walkways, which gives the feeling of being anywhere in Europe. We were lucky our trip coincided with the Yerevan Wine Days event, so we had a fabulous time trying local wines, food and the experiencing a party atmosphere. We'd say the cost to dine out is affordable. We enjoyed walking around the city to see a few of the touristy spots. Other days we took a private tour guide/driver so we got to see other nice churches, gorges, mountains, etc. Highly recommended!Guest review byzoebearMalaysia - 10.0

Yerevan is a lovely, safe city. There are many parks and natural water everywhere one turns. The people are very honest, have manners, and are dignified. The food is tasty and of exceptional quality. I fell in love with the city, the country, the weather and the people. I hope to have the opportunity to go back to it repeatedly. We had an amazing time in Armenia.
We had an amazing time in Armenia. Yerevan is a great city, the locals are helpful, and our organised day trip outside the capital was informative and impressive. There are plenty of bars and restaurants, and we have felt very safe even at night. Regarding airport transfer: We asked at the EcoTaxi stand in the arrivals hall and were quoted 13 euro for a trip into town. It seemed a reasonable fare, especially for the early morning arrival - however, we were first told we could pay by card. On the way to the car, we were told that the card machine wasn't working and if we had any euro cash. We did, and upon arrival were told that euro coins could not be accepted, but we only had larger notes. Eventually it was solved by getting the change in AMD, but it was not the best or most transparent experience. Our return to the airport was only 4 euro via a taxi booked through Yandex by the hotel.Guest review byAnnikaGermany - 10.0
