Hotels near Daytona Beach International Airport - DAB, Daytona Beach

Personally not a huge fan of Daytona Beach. We had tickets to a concert on the property of the Hard Rock Hotel, so that's why we were there but we liked the hotel enough to come back. Maui Nix surf shop was just down the street, so we really enjoyed that.The Valet at Hotel and Food service was great. Friendly staff. We even signed up for the unity program at Hard Rock.

We like Daytona Beach and have been here many times. We didn't pick the hotel because if we had we would have stayed at Perry's which gives you much more for your buck for the same price. Ate at Little Italy and loved the food! Beautiful park across the street from Little Italy along the water!

It was our anniversary, so we opted just to spend time together and go to some nice dinners of course! We recommend Aunt Catfish for a nice dinner on the water and reasonably priced. The salad bar is gone but it is still one of our favorites. Carribean Jacks is also a nice meal on the water with some bench swings and the Banana Fosters for dessert is a must! The Charley Horse restaurant is also very good. Our go to is wings and crab legs. Overall Daytona is still family oriented, but you have to be careful on some sections of town just like anywhere else. The beach is great but you have to pay $30 now just to drive on the it!

Daytona Beach was a pleasant surprise! We read a lot of online reviews stating the economy had taken a nosedive. I think that was post hurricane, but business has seemed to rebound. Lots of restaurants, shopping and activity options. I would recommend more of the local restaurants like the Oyster Pub and Ocean Deck instead of the national chains like Bubba Gumps and Joe's Crab Shack. We walked every where, so if you stay on the beach or a block right off the beach, you don't need a car. Water park one block from the beach for the kiddos, arcades on the boardwalk and a Vomitron (crazy slingshot ride) that looked busy all the time. A couple of slightly questionable areas in the Seabreeze neighborhood, but otherwise, family friendly. If you do have a car, you would want more than a short stay. Lots of options to visit other than just the beach like the Daytona Speedway. Two and 1/2 days perfect for checking out the beach area and getting some sun time.

Florida's tallest Lighthouse museum is a must. Seeing where the Daytona 500 takes place. The boardwalk pier amusement park is great even just to watch from the beach at sun down. Beach and water was amazing. Hard to find affordable parking by the beach. Usually saw flat rate fee lots for 20-30 dollars daily. Drive on the beach and parking for 30 dollars is awesome but seems expensive. So many choices for food including vegetarian options ranging from $-$$$. Boat and Jetski rentals decent pricing. Affordable hotels even some of the oceanfront ones.

All the police is safe , but too much police on road is very distracting and very dangerous for drivers trying to actually watch for safety . It’s chaotic seeing multiple people being stopped within a 1 mile distance. There’s already too much people on the road during peak hours and heavy police presence on road driving is not helping . Observe, facilitate, and provide support , do not create issues please .
