💡 “The single most important area we need to be channelling investment into is the clean power system.” The clean energy transition is happening. But speed matters. We need leaders who listen, set clear signals, and unlock strategic investment and regulation so we can scale clean power where it’s needed most. On 21 October 2025 at The Conduit London, the Green Economy Forum will bring together investors, policymakers and innovators serious about making this transition real. 🌍 We’re building a vanguard of countries and leaders working together to accelerate net zero – and helping others get there too. 🎥 Watch this clip on why political leadership and collective action are key to the clean energy revolution. https://lnkd.in/eFhDyPBA #GreenEconomyForum25 #CleanEnergy #NetZero #ClimateAction #GreenInvestment #EnergyTransition Paul van Zyl, Peres K., Megan Kennedy, Colin Helms, Charlotte Kilpatrick, Sierra Paller, Mehrad Jaberansari, British Chambers of Commerce, Green Alliance, Forster Communications

Social platforms were once a force for connection. Now, they risk becoming battlegrounds for disinformation, manipulation and division. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Protecting democracy starts with protecting truth. That means championing transparency, digital responsibility and ethical leadership — and amplifying the people doing exactly that. 💡 Explore the powerful voices of The Conduit. 🌊 Floating wind is the UK’s next clean energy powerhouse. And a once-in-a-generation opportunity for job creation. Over the past 20 years, offshore wind has gone from fringe to frontline - now supplying nearly 1 in 5 units of electricity in the UK. But as we target a 95% low-carbon grid by 2030, growth must speed up. That’s where floating wind comes in. Unlike fixed turbines, floating platforms open up deeper, windier waters - unlocking vast new areas for clean power. And it’s not just about electrons. It’s about economic regeneration. 🔹 In the Celtic Sea alone, three proposed floating wind projects could support over 5,000 jobs and generate £1.4bn in value. 🔹 By 2050, the sector could support 97,000 high-quality jobs across ports, engineering, manufacturing and more. The challenges are real - from rising costs to port readiness - but so is the opportunity. The UK still has the skills, ambition and infrastructure to lead. With targeted investment and smart policy, floating wind could power both our homes and a more resilient green economy. 💡 Let’s make it happen. Join us at the Green Economy Forum on 21 October to explore how we turn this potential into reality. 🎟️ Buy your early bird ticket for just £96 here: https://lnkd.in/eFhDyPBA Spaces are limited - don’t miss out. #GreenEconomyForum25 #FloatingWind #GreenJobs #CleanEnergy #NetZero #UKEconomy

Most companies still assume that maximising profit leads to social progress. But James Perry, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of COOK, points out that this model is broken. To thrive in a just and sustainable future, businesses must be accountable for their impact — not just on shareholders, but on society too. Montana, a state better known for its rugged landscapes than progressive housing policy, has become an unexpected leader in housing reform. Despite its vast open land, it now ranks as the least affordable housing market in the country. But what sets Montana apart isn’t just the crisis—it’s how the state chose to respond. In 2021, Governor Greg Gianforte brought together an unlikely coalition: Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, environmentalists, developers, activists, and local officials. The goal was simple but ambitious—find common ground and take real action. The result was a set of sweeping bipartisan reforms: eliminating single-family zoning, reducing parking mandates, streamlining permits, and cutting outdated regulations that blocked new housing. Dubbed “The Montana Miracle,” this effort shows what’s possible when political opponents work together to solve shared problems. Sudan is facing the world’s largest humanitarian crisis, yet it remains one of the most underfunded and overlooked. Since war broke out in 2023, 13 million people have fled their homes and half the population now faces hunger. Despite this, Sudan received less than half of the aid it requested from the UN—compared to 73% for Ukraine and 100% for Gaza. The situation worsened after US aid was frozen, forcing 80% of community kitchens to shut down and leaving millions without reliable access to food. Sudan may be a “forgotten war,” but forgetting has deadly consequences. Lives depend on funding, awareness, and responsible action. Join us at The Conduit on Monday 21 July to discuss free expression in the UK in relation to the war in Sudan, and action that can be taken by media workers, politicians, and the public. We will hear from: Dr. Dr Eva Khair, a British-Sudanese medical doctor and global health and humanitarian consultant James Copnall, the BBC Sudan correspondent from 2009-12, covering conflicts, elections, and the independence of South Sudan Ahmed Soliman, a senior research fellow with the Africa Programme at Chatham House, where he leads programming on the Horn of Africa region Yassmin Abdel-Magied, a Sudanese diaspora writer, broadcaster, and award-winning social advocate https://lnkd.in/eHYeR97Z
