An insightful day spent at the Teach First AI in Education Summit, sponsored by Deloitte, yesterday, along with Tim Barette. An excellent and appropriate venue at Plexal, Here East for discussions and learning around innovation. As always with such a hot topic, many takeaways but a few highlights and interwoven themes: Rose Luckin on the importance of learning fast, acting slow. Pause, prepare, partner as part of the AI adoption journey 🧑🏫 The Department for Education on their recent work in this field and some of the thinkings on phase 2 of the supportive resources for teachers and the wider school workforce to come - great to hear 🏫 Diana Barran on allowing adequate and proper time to explore and investigate AI to consider the real purpose behind usage ⏰ Cheryl Shirley on the AI adoption journey for LEO Academy Trust and the impact of their 1:1 device scheme - "pupils have access to the tools they need at the time they need them" 💻 As well as being great to bump into and spend some time with Andrew Friend - and a well done for your prize in the Teachmate Hackathon!
