🚴♂️ 2000 kilometers. Two friends. One powerful cause. This August, Storytel is proud to support Petter Hagberg and John Ek as they take on a 2000-kilometer cycling journey across Sweden to raise awareness around mental health. Petter and John are cycling from Treriksröset to Smygehuk – from the northernmost point of Sweden to the southern tip – with a goal of raising SEK 200,000 for Suicide Zero, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention. The five-day ride, called Green Ribbon Ride: In Motion for Mental Health, will be physically demanding – but also a time for reflection, recovery, and listening. Storytel is joining them on their journey, where audiobooks will offer moments of calm, focus, and emotional support along the way. 🎧 Why audiobooks? Because reading and listening are proven to reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance empathy, and break negative thought patterns. Even six minutes of reading or listening can reduce stress levels by up to 68%. 📍The journey begins August 1. 🎉 Double Wins for Storytel at the Gyllene Hjulet awards 🎉 Storytel's much-talked-about audiobook-playing portable toilets won gold in both Creative Event of the Year and Cultural/Entertainment Sponsorship of the Year, at the Gyllene Hjulet industry awards in Sweden on Wednesday evening. The festively decorated porta-potties, installed at the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg last summer offered festivalgoers both a much-needed and much-appreciated break, while listening to excerpts from the Storytel Original documentary series "On the Road". Congratulations to the event agency Brandworks AB, who developed the festival activation in collaboration with Miltton Sweden and our own Team Sweden, with project management by Andrea Kåberger and Sanne N. 🧡
