Worked fine for me but it is annoying and restarts the process if you change the window. I did already know where my passport chip and I paid using Amex, which made the application process alright. Serious shortcoming is that you can not view your ETA application status nor look up an old one (and that of your family). It literally just lets you submit the application.

I almost didn't download this because of the negative reviews, but I found it a breeze to use. Very intuitive and straightforward. I did myself, my wife and son and everything took 10 minutes from start to finish. Nice and easy. Next time though Ill probably just go to France, hop in a rubber boat and sail to the UK. No visas or passport required, free money, phone and a free 5 star hotel.

The app is terrible. I deeply hope the UK government stops using it as the main way for ETA: 1) if the app encounters any error during an application, have to restart no way to resume. 2) when a step asks you to take a picture, it's surprisingly inconsistent that sometimes the app will take the picture automatically before you think it's ready, sometimes you need to press a button instead.3) the buttons to control the picture taking overlaps with Android's 3-button navigation, makes it unusable
