We are pleased to share that from January 2023 to the first half of 2025, we have assisted over 1,300 overseas and Mainland companies to set up or expand their business in Hong Kong. These companies have brought in more than HK$160 billion in foreign direct investment and created over 19,000 jobs within their first year of operation or expansion. This not only contributes to the local job market, but also reaffirms Hong Kong’s position as a leading business hub in Asia. These results demonstrate that InvestHK has achieved ahead of schedule its performance indicators as set out in the 2022 Policy Address. According to the UNCTAD World Investment Report 2025, Hong Kong surged to #3 globally in FDI inflows—only behind the US and Singapore.   Hong Kong's FDI inflows in 2024 had a moderate increase over that of 2023 (by 2.6% to US$126 billion) and was up one place at the third position, after the US and Singapore. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's inward FDI stock as at end-2024 was US$2,351 billion and was the fifth largest destination (also up by one place), after the US, the Mainland China, the UK and Netherlands for inward direct investment globally.   With strong connectivity, world-class infrastructure, and a trusted legal system, Hong Kong continues to be a top-tier investment destination and a powerful springboard into Asia.   Ready to plug into Asia’s most vibrant investment hub?
