Sorry, should have been more specific. I mean the front page of an instance, not the readme or documentation. You can see it's pixelated when zoomed in, and browser developer tools confirms: |

Sorry, my fail .. TBH IDK why we have PNG, the origin is SVG we converted to PNG .. It is an css background image .. may for some historical reasons we converted it to PNG for those web-browser in the past, that have not supported SVG backgrounds (?) .. |

Oh I see. I'm not that well versed with web stuff, but maybe we could skip having the logo as a background image on a heading element and insert the svg direcrly? Then we can add aria attributes so it reads "searxng" to screen reader users and has the same roll as an h1? I could look into this, but I'm not a programmer, so not sure how far I'd get 😅 |

Is there any reason the logo on the front page is a png instead of an svg? Wouldn't it look better as an svg?
