Force google engine to only use ipv4 (Hetzner IPv6 & google) #3188

I have been using searxng for a long time, but for some reason google blocked my server from accessing ipv6 of the site. But then, when I try going to google.com with forcing ipv4 ( Is there a way to force searxng to only use ipv4 with google engine without losing the ability to serve ipv6 to my instance of searxng? |

The bot defense of the original search engines tends to react more sensitively to IPv6 / I recommend to route all outgoing requests over IPv4: outgoing:

bot protections works the same way as ipv4 and ipv6. it's just that in ipv6 the bot protection probably block an entire ipv6 range where as in ipv4 probably a couple of ip addresses. |

I would suggest rotating your IPv6 address first. Sometimes it's not the entire ipv6 range that is blocked. |
