Description
Currently, blocking prevents User A from interacting with basically any of User B's content. One area where that creates problems is when it comes to taxonomy discussions. Because a flag is treated as content created by the user who made the flag, if User B blocks User A and then flags a taxon, User A cannot comment on that taxon flag. This can prevent people with expertise from contributing to a discussion about a common good (aka an iNat taxon), which is different thank blocking someone from interacting with you on something more personal, such as your observations, journal posts, moderation flags, etc.
The ask is to then carve out an exception for taxon flags (eg any flag that like these) and taxon changes (eg https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/123569) when it comes to user-to-user blocking.
This does open the door slightly to potential harassment in the form of one user "following" another user's taxon flags and commenting on them, but that can be monitored and moderated just like general stalking or harassment can.
