In a container, the directory app/www has the wrong owner #7498

Dokku 0.35.4

I execute the commands below.

 $ dokku enter <my-project>
 $  ls -ld app
  drwxr-xr-x 1 herokuishuser herokuishuser 4096 Oct  2 07:48 app
 $ ls -l app
  total 56

The problem is that the directory app/www has as owner '1001' and that should be 'herokuishuser'.
Also the sub directories in app/www have '1001' as owner.

$ su
Password:

I don't know the password te become 'root' user.

How can I change the owner of the directory app/www ?

Is the www folder a mounted directory? If so, the permissions there are governed by the permissions on the host. We provide a command for creating those directories with the correct permissions - storage:ensure-directory - but if you create it manually, it's up to you to set the permissions on the dokku host for that mounted directory. Please checkout the linked docs to see the uid/gid that should be set on the host directory being mounted (and it's files).

No the www folder is not a mounted directory.
Just now, I issued the command "sudo chown -R herohuishuser /home/dokku//www
In dokku the owner of the folder www is also changed to 'herokuishuser'.
This solved my problem.
