I added squelch = svname=co-itapp|ny-itapp to our haproxy.server.error_connections alert so it would ignore those services, but then the alert went unknown for all instances with those svnames.

Kyle says that is a bug, and a squelched tag should cause it to be ignored and not go unknown (which matches what I believe use to happen before the redis transition).
