Can you clarify exactly the change generated by that in term of next item preparation and loading in a normal playlist with mediaitems ?

If this actually delays the next item datasource open call it would be nice if this was actually configurable ?

In my case, the preparation can be quite long as it can require to start a transcoding session on a low end server on a slow network and 10 seconds would not be enough in quite a few cases.
