Description
Expected Behavior
Once the VOD meets a set date, finishes its VOD retention or manually started automatic upload of VODs clips or videos to the Internet Archive for more permanent storage, or do reduce limited local storage. While for the longest time VODs and other content will be viewable on Ganymede for a better watching experience, eventually they should be permanently archived but not lost.
Current Behavior
Manual intervention is required usually although can be achieved through homebrewed scripts. Administrators must manually upload the VODs onto the Internet Archive for backups or space saving which can be time consuming if done manually.
Possible Solution
Possibility of integrating the Internet Archive command line tool (https://internetarchive.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) to automate the process, setting your login for IA in the settings, and setting meta data fields such as creator, title, description, date etc automatically based on either general user preset as well as stream information. The upload to Internet Archive should preserve ALL files ganymede creates for the uploaded VOD. Another small feature in relation is to add a link to the Internet Archive page so if the VOD is no longer on Ganymede, it can be found there easily.
