Exciting news to share! We are coordinating with the Google Payments team for a public announcement of the new Agentic Payments Standard (APS). 🎉

The official launch is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th, at 6:00 AM PT.

The APS is a broad standard for AI-driven commerce, and it will be launched with two foundational pillars: the extension for traditional payment methods (FOPs) and, importantly, the x402 A2A extension that this group has been working hard to develop.

Housekeeping & Next Steps:

To prepare for the launch, we are aiming to get the repository into a stable and clean state early next week. To that end, we will be merging the feat/spec branch into main.

If you have any other demos, features, or fixes that you would like to see included in the initial launch, please share your Pull Requests as soon as possible so we have time to review them.
