Description
great work! truly! it's fast and responsive. apart from the loading issue, so far no crash!
There are however, a few minor things that we could work on.
Do feel free to chuck these into youdontcare@yourwheeliebin.co.uk
a. pinball.ogg could use a slimming.
I believe one could be at service.
I have done a cover of pinbal2.mid, which did require a full understanding of the music from the bottom up.
Tho, real time synthesis of MIDI should be possible but unheard of on PS2, I.think there's a quicker way -- playing .mod/.mptm/.xm
these files are storing clips of a instrument then real time synthesis the music as it goes.
It's midi before midi.
There might be some ready to use libraries that handles playback of these files, PS2 reality media player is one.that uses it.
As for generating the file, it could be done on.modern.software like OpenMPT.
The rest are just details, like how much polyphonly you want/could achieve, could you do DSP effects like reverb or echo real time or should it be done to the "samples" of the instrument instead?
b. the characters in-game are flashing too fast.
c. able to change the mixer levels of the BGM and SFX.
one might perfer the BGM.....
d. screen saver.
just dimming the screen would save many CRTs.
e.L1 L2 be bump key than a comb....
holding triangle feels wrong....
we all are trained to use only the index finger to interact the flapper and bumps on winxp version...
it works wonderiously with L2R2! And the tumb! I pressed X without realizing!
f. muti player and high scores.
it's a nice to have, i dont think it's used ever? tho I dont have many friends in dem.childhood.
